Furniture Row is a company that was founded in 1974 in Denver. This is the largest furniture retailer in the USA. The company specializes in manufacturing and selling mattresses, bedding and different furniture sets. Furniture Row provides a large assortment of sofas, chairs, tables, kitchen sets, lamps, ottomans and many more. I bet you have never seen a great diversity of furniture. Company's designers aim to create furniture that will perfectly fit your apartment and lifestyle, so even if you have sophisticated taste, all your requirements will be met.
When Spain and Italy were in power, the furniture style was called Mediterranean (Renaissance) style, each country's style reflecting their own culture. Then, when the power shifted to France, the prominent styles were named after the kings: Louis XIV (Baroque) style, Louis XV (Rococo) style and Louis XVI (Neoclassical) style. When Napoleon took control of France the styles of that era were Directoire and French Empire.
Now, let's shift our focus to English furniture styles. As we said before, usually dominant styles were named after monarchs. We see this in the Queen Anne, William and Mary or English Georgian (after King George) styles. However, during the mid 1700's there was a quiet revolution in design that changed how the furniture styles were named. They now were named after the designer.
Furniture with natural material finishing usually will attract some people, not only because of its natural impression but also because of its exclusivity. It becomes more special if the designer creates the unique design furniture, when using natural material like rattan, bamboo, and plant fiber. Cane work (wicker) and the flexibility of rattan style become the art work.
In all his designs Jean Royere employed traditional artisan techniques and often his designs are personal and innovative, though unimaginative. He had opened his own gallery in 1942 at 184, Rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honore for the purpose of exhibiting his collections. He later opened branch offices in Cairo, Beirut, Peru and Iran in 1946, 1947, 1953 and 1958 respectively. His works in the Middle East helped him earn large commissions which also gave him the opportunity to work with the royalty and the heads of various states. Royere's royal patrons included King Farouk of Egypt, King Hussein of Jordan and the Shah of Iran, all of whom where impressed by his creations and hence entrusted Jean with the interior design of their palaces.
