In the question of interior design furnishing plays a vey important role. For someone furniture is the thing to be proud of, for someone this is a pure torture. When buying furniture, we make a long-term purchase. And it depends on a choice whether you will enjoy your furniture or hate it. To furnish your home you should find accessories that are necessary and comfortable. It's not necessary for all the furniture to be from one set. It's pretty enough if all the stuff correspond to each other at least in color. Your purchase also should be of high quality if you don't want to look for a master who would repair your furniture in a few weeks after having made a purchase. And a mood spoiled by bad purchase no one will "repair". It's better to choose environmentally friendly furniture. And one more thing (that is absolutely obvious, as for me) is that furniture should fit the whole interior of your apartment. Mixing styles is not appropriate and doesn't look good.
After the world war era, demand for homes increased and so did the demand for furniture used in the outdoor settings. The styles adopted usually oozed with functionality and maximum utility. All the types of furniture were popular - wood to metal and aluminum as well. Apart from usual tables and chairs and the swing there was also the feeder for the birds, statues and many other decorative items. Apart from these, today there is also a trend that allows you to create a recreation room for the family to get together and relax while watching TV or playing games.
Architect Walter Gropius founded the Bauhaus School after World War I in Weimar, Germany. Its mission was to unite the fields of creativity and craftsmanship in the design of all products. At the school there were master teachers in the areas of architecture, furniture design, painting, typography, textile design, music, sculpture and color, each with the emphasis on functional design. The familiar mottos of "form follow function," "less is more," and "a house is a machine for living" came from the Bauhaus School.
How do you choose a furniture style when there are so many styles to choose? One way is to find a furniture style that you like. One that makes you feel comfortable, reflects your lifestyle and connects to you on an emotional level.
Before you decide which style is right for you, let's look back at the history of interior design. Let's make an emotional connection or at least an interest in a particular style. They say everyone has a story to tell and so does interior design. Interior design began in the stone age when cavemen began to draw pictures on their interior walls, each person telling their own story. Ancient Egypt and Rome had a deep interest in their interiors as well, especially in architectural design.
